Countershades

2020. Oil and latex paint on relief panels and wall, site-specific light and shadow.

Geometric relief forms painted in response to existing lighting conditions. Each plane is painted to balance to how its angle catches light, in order to recreate the appearance of the wall color behind it. Site-specific works intended to be viewed under the same light in which they were created.
