Professional Work Portfolio
Reflexion
2019. Custom mirror, chairs, wood, drywall, lights.
Reflexion consists of a specially-prepared mirror silvered in stripes placed between two symmetrical spaces with chairs. Participants are invited to occupy the chairs and view themselves and another person in the same composite image.
LOOKING GLASS
2011. Mirrors and steel wire.
Looking Glass is a set of sixteen double-sided mirrors hung in the center of the lobby of 200 Daniels Way in Bloomington, IN. Since the lobby is mostly symmetrical, the images of the room within each mirror correspond to the view of the room past the mirrors.
Open and Close
2011. Latex paint and projection on elevator door.
Open and Close consists of eight colored squares painted on the main level elevator door in 122 South Walnut Street in Bloomington, IN. Onto these are projected eight more squares of color chosen to neutralize the painted squares. When the elevator door opens, these swatches slide out of alignment with one another.
Mosaic
2018. Digital projection.
Two complementary projections overlap to create a grid of white squares, allowing participants to cast fragmentary, colorful shadows.
Aurora
2018. Digital projection.
Two blurred projections interlock to create a white, pulsating shape. The colors from one projector cancel the colors from the other projector. Viewers/participants stepping in front of the work create colorful, overlapping shadows.
Echo
2015. Latex paint, digital print, site-specific light and shadow.
Multi-level painting/print that reiterates its own overlapping shadows.
Wrinkles
2015. Inkjet prints on wrinkled paper, site-specific light and shadow. From left: Stutter, Rorschach, Pirouette.
Wrinkled paper printed with the image of the same wrinkles. Each feature is presented twice—once as a three-dimensional structure and once as a printed image. Site-conditioned prints intended to be viewed in the same lighting conditions under which they were created.
Both Sides
2018. Cast paper images of each side of a single sheet of copy paper.
CARDBOARD
2016. Carved MDF, paraffin wax, acrylic paint.
SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE GLASS

TESSERAE
2011. Latex paint and colored mylar.
The hallways in the east wing of 200 Daniels Way in Bloomington, IN are punctuated by semi-random bands of blue linoleum floor tiles. Tesserae is an extension of one of these bands up the walls and over the existing features on either side of the hallway.
GREY AREA
2011. Latex paint and digital prints.
Grey Area is a black-and-white image of the lobby at 501 Profile Parkway in Bloomington, IN, painted at life-size directly on wall of the lobby itself.
