Student: Wanbli Gamache. Title: Compound and Collapse. Course: Drawing in the Expanded Field. Media: Video of tape drawing over television screen, projected over laser-etched acrylic sheet.

Student: Elizabeth Sheeler. Course: Drawing in the Expanded Field. Medium: Performance. The artist chained herself to a chair using several padlocks during the exhibition reception. Keys to these padlocks were dispersed among several hundred other keys piled on a nearby pedestal. Visitors were permitted (but not requested) to search through the pile to unlock the padlocks to eventually free the artist.

Student: Dylan Hale. Course: Drawing in the Expanded Field. Assignment: Personal Series. Media: icing on corrugated cardboard, approx. 12” diameter. Part of a series in which this student drew upon his background as a baker and cake decorator.


Student: Maryamsadat Amirvaghefi. Course: Graduate Drawing. Media: Iranian post boxes, saffron rock candy, digital number display, electrical tape, cables, audio recording of breathing. Made by an Iranian student with a difficult relationship to the government of her home country due to her participation in the Green Movement protests. The time on the display counts down the months, days, hours, minutes and seconds until her student visa and her permission to remain the U.S. expires

Student: Wallace Ann Sorrells. Course: Drawing in the Expanded Field. Assignment: Personal Series. Media: Yarn, acrylic paint on plywood.

Student: Wanbli Gamache. Course: Drawing in the Expanded Field. Media: drywall, wire mesh, vibrating motors, TV playing stop-motion animation of drawing progressively cut into gypsum board, pile of discarded gypsum board fragments. Individually-directed work.
